Many movies for the 90s are simple yet fun and do not require too much thought to be put into them. So here is a list of five 90s Bollywood movies that you can watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!

Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! is a romantic comedy that was released on August 5, 1994. The film starred Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan in the lead roles and was written and directed by Sooraj Barjatya. The movie is about how one might have to sacrifice love for their family's well being. The story is focused on Prem and Nisha, who fall in love with each other. But a series of unfortunate events leads Nisha to be engaged to Prem's brother Rajesh. The remainder of the movie is about how the two lovers cope with this revelation. The movie also has a pomeranian dog named Tuffy, that made the breed extremely popular in India thanks to its portrayal in the movie.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Another Bollywood romantic comedy from the 90s, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai released on October 16, 1998. The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji. The movie is a touching story about love and friendship as well as moving on after the passing of a loved one. But the themes are presented comically and enjoyably which can be entertaining for all viewers. The movie was directed by the popular director Karan Johar.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was released on October 20, 1995, and is considered to be one of the best movies of Bollywood. The movie was directed by Aditya Chopra and was a super hit when it first featured in Indian cinema. The movie is still played in certain theatres across the country. DDLJ is an age-old classic love story that defines Bollywood love stories.

Hero No. 1

Hero No. 1 is one of Govinda's most popular movie and was released on February 21, 1997. The movie was a comedy-drama that starred Karisma Kapoor as the female lead alongside Govinda. It follows the romantic misadventures of a couple and is full of iconic moments where Govinda's comical style shines. The movie was directed by David Dhawan.

Baazigar

Baazigar starred Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role alongside Kajol. The movie was released on November 12, 1993. It was directed by Abbas-Mustan and produced by Ganesh Jain. The movie is an action thriller that will keep you engrossed until the end.
