His talent spoke volumes for him as he managed to dig a niche for himself in the glamorous world of Bollywood.

The Suave Villain

Virus

After watching Boman in 3 Idiots, it is difficult to imagine any other actor playing the role of a rigid principal. His portrayal of Virus aka Viru Sahastrabudhhe hit the right chords of the audience. He delivered such a cliched character in the most unique way possible. The mannerisms and accent of his character added more power to his dialogue delivery in a star-studded film.

Munna Bhai Series

Boman Irani starred in both films of the series, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S and Lage Raho Munna Bhai. The actor shined as Dr Asthana and Lucky Singh equally well, though both were completely different characters. While playing Dr Asthana, his habit of laughing during a difficult situation and his portrayal of Lucky Singh as a cunning yet protective father, had a space of their own in the films.

Other Shades of Boman

'M' aka Murli

In the film Dostana where actors like John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan featured as the lead characters of the story, Boman added more flavour to the comedy by playing 'M' aka Murli in the film. It made the audience think twice whether he is gay in the film and in real life as well. His super hilarious performance in the film was enjoyable indeed.

DCP D'Silva and Vardhaan

In Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011) directed by Farhan Akhtar, Boman's versatility was clearly at display with the way he pulled off playing two different characters, firstly as DCP D'Silva, a masquerading police officer and then Vardhaan, a dangerous criminal.

Apart from these characters, Boman Irani has worked and delivered some of his finest performances in films such as Khosla Ka Ghosla, Jolly LLB, and Ferrari Ki Sawaari among others. The actor will be seen soon on the big screen in Made in China.
