The big box-office clash of 2020 — Akshay Kumar's 'Sooryavanshi' by Rohit Shetty Vs Salman Khan's 'Inshallah' by Sanjay Leela Bhansali — has been averted. And Bhaijaan has made a special announcement to confirm that.
Salman Khan took to his Twitter handle and shared a picture with Rohit Shetty, captioning it as: "I always thought of him as my younger brother and today he proves it... #RohitShetty Sooryavanshi releasing on 27th March, 2020." [sic]
Here's the post -
Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh too shared it on his Twitter handle -
Rohit Shetty's made an announcement about Akshay Kumar's 'Sooryavanshi' to be released on Eid 2020 when 'Simmba' released in December 2018. And later, Salman Khan confirmed that his film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali titled 'Inshallah' will also release next year on Eid. But looks like this clash has been averted now with Sooryavanshi getting a new release date. But there are two other movies two in the pipeline for Eid 2020 release — Yash Raj Films' 'Shamshera' and SS Rajamoulli's 'RRR'.
It's going to be a tough fight. One more point to observe here is that Alia Bhatt features in 'RRR' opposite Ram Charan and also opposite Salman Khan in 'Inshallah'.
For those unaware, Salman Khan's Eid releases have all crossed Rs. 100 crore at Box-office and became superhits except 'Tubelight' in 2017 and 'Race 3' in 2018.
