Tiger Shroff's recent venture 'Students of the Year 2' released on Friday, May 10. Although it is far from breaking any record, it has shown substantial growth over the past few days. It has grossed a total of Rs. 38.83 crore.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter on Monday and stated that the film had a decent collection over the opening weekend, however, it saw a limited growth on Sunday, because of phase six of Lok Sabha elections and IPL finals. Comparing it to Tiger's previous ventures, he further stated that the numbers should’ve been higher, least than his 2016 venture 'Baaghi'. Moreover, he said that the film can touch success if it can maintain the pace over the weekdays as well.
"#StudentOfTheYear2 saw limited growth on Day 2, while the sixth phase of polling [cinemas were shut till evening] + #IPL2019Final [evening onwards] affected its biz on Day 3... Fri 12.06 cr, Sat 14.02 cr, Sun 12.75 cr. Total: ₹ 38.83 cr. India biz. #SOTY2" he wrote in a post.
"Student Of The Year 2 has a decent weekend, but when compared to Tiger Shroff’s earlier releases [data follows], the numbers should’ve been higher than #Baaghi at least... #SOTY2 has an important task ahead: It needs to maintain the pace on weekdays" he added further.
