'Brahmastra Will Take Cinema To Another Level', Says Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Brahmastra’ has been in the news ever since the film went on floors. While talking to PTI, Alia Bhatt said that the fantasy trilogy will take cinema to a different level.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Brahmastra’ has been in news ever since the film went on floors. The Ayan Mukerji directorial has created an immense amount of anticipation among the audience not only due to reports of a rumoured relationship between Alia and Ranbir but also because of its intriguing concept. While talking to PTI, Alia Bhatt said that the fantasy trilogy will take cinema to a different level. The actress said, "We are very excited for the film. It is a step ahead. This will take cinema to another level. I am excited for next year.” ‘Brahmastra’ also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Akkineni Nagarjuna. Television actress Mouni Roy will be seen as an antagonist in the film which involves some high-octane action sequences featuring Ranbir Kapoor. ‘Brahmastra’ is slated to release on August 15, 2019.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt will also star in the sequel to Mahesh Bhatt’s 1991 film ‘Sadak’ titled ‘Sadak 2’. Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt created magic on-screen and the film was widely accepted by the audience. The duo is all set to reunite in the film and the new additions to the cast of the film are Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. Talking about the film, Alia told PTI, "It's beautiful, it's amazing. It's a dream come true. My father is directing me. One can't ask for anything better. It's going to be very special.” 'Sadak 2' also marks Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt's first on-screen collaboration.

In addition to this, Alia will also share screen space with Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur in ‘Kalank’, a period film. The film also stars Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, and Sonakshi Sinha in pivotal roles. Reports suggest that while Varun will portray the role of a blacksmith during the British rule in India, Sonakshi Sinha will play the role of a Banjaran.

According to reports, Aditya Roy Kapur, who will be seen playing an artisan in the film, accompanied by Varun Dhawan starts a rebellion against the British government. ‘Kalank’, an Abhishek Varman directorial is slated to release on April 19, 2019. Besides this, Alia will also star in Karan Johar's directorial 'Takht' alongside Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor. 'Takht' is slated for a 2020 release.
