Can You Guess? Karan Johar Just Directed These Two Important People From His Life For The First Time In 20 Years

Karan Johar’s multiple productions are always on floors and in the news, courtesy the well-known stars and the marketing, packaging he provides to them. However, it’s always the filmmaker’s directorials that are keenly anticipated and makes headlines, like the announcement of his next movie, the multi-starrer ‘Takht’.

But before the movie starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and many others kicks off, KJo helmed another project, an advertisement for a cooking brand. What was interesting was the important ‘firsts’ that he accomplished with the collaboration.

Karan directed two very important people of his life for the first time. Despite both of them being a part of the industry for more than two decades, the filmmaker got the opportunity to direct Akshay Kumar for the first time. This comes after the ‘Khiladi Kumar’s multiple films for the director’s banner Dharma Productions like ‘Brothers’ and the upcoming ‘2.0’, ‘Kesari’ and ‘Good News.’  

The other person, Twinkle Khanna, is someone Karan knows since even before he met Akshay and actually is friends with since he was very young. For the uninitiated, Twinkle was Karan’s childhood crush and the filmmaker had famously claimed that she is the only woman he ever fell in love with.

Sharing a link of the advertisement, Karan captioned how he finally got the chance to direct his ‘childhood buddy’ after 20 years and with her ‘wonderful’ husband for the first time, which he termed as a ‘fun’ experience.
