Cannes 2019: Ranveer Singh uses this word for Deepika Padukone that was popularised by the celebrity they both bonded with recently

Deepika Padukone is one of the handful names representing India at the ongoing Cannes film festival and her husband Ranveer Singh is missing her dearly if we go by the comments he has been posting.  The latter, of course, would be texting and calling the actress to shower praises and convey his love, but he never shies away from letting the world know what he feels about his ladylove. The ‘Gully Boy’ star’s comments on Deepika’s posts, right from the time they were just ‘rumoured lovers’ to the power husband-wife duo they are today, have been one of the highlights of their relationship. While the ‘Love  Aaj Kal’ star’s red carpet appearance got a perfect response from Ranveer, he was left dazzled by a comparatively low-key look too, calling her a ‘Bawse’ and adding that she was killing it.

Deepika geared up for day 2 at the French Riviera, with a stylish blue and white striped pantsuit and sunglasses and heels to go with it. Ranveer didn’t even need 10 minutes to reply to his wife after the actress posted her pictures.

The ‘Simmba’ star commented, ‘BAWSE’ and “killllllllllling it haaaaaaan.” 

The term ‘Bawse’ is another term along the lines of ‘boss lady’ and has been popularised by Indian-origin popular YouTube Lilly Singh aka Superwoman. The Canadian has also written a book, ‘How to be a Bawse’. 

Incidentally, both Ranveer and Deepika were seen bonding big time with Lilly recently.  

A few weeks ago, Ranveer’s rap on the top of the table behind-the-scenes of an awards show with Lilly had gone viral. Recently, at the Met Gala, the YouTuber had quipped about the efforts she took to meet  Deepika, and the actress replied how calling her would’ve been an easier option. 

Her second outfit of the day was equally stylish too. The actress donned a fluorescent-black flowy gown, with matching sunglasses and handbag.

On day one, Deepika Padukone graced the red carpet at Cannes 2019, looking beautiful in a mono-crop gown by Dundas. She also sported a top knot and some statement jewelry to go with her look. Plus, with a long off-white trail and a structural black bow in the front, this outfit definitely hit the home-run for the diva.
