Veteran actor Kader Khan passed away on December 31 in a Canadian hospital. His son Sarafaraz shared the tragic news with the world. Ever since his death, tributes have been pouring from celebrities and all kinds of eminent figures. Joining the list is one of his closest co-stars, Govinda.
The actor took to Instagram as he shared a throwback picture from the sets of one of their most iconic films together-'Dulhe Raja'. It shows the actor embracing Kader from the back with a bright smile on his face, whereas the late actor feigned a grumpy expression. Other than giving every 90s kid some major nostalgia, he also had a really emotional tribute to go with it.
In the caption, Govinda explained that not only was Kader Khan his mentor, but he was also a father figure to him. He also added that the late actor had a Midas touch that made every actor he worked with a superstar. Finally, he mourned this tragic as he added that no words can adequately describe his sorrow.
The on-screen combo of Govinda and Kader Khan is one of the most iconic comic jodis in Indian cinema. The two have worked in scores of films together such as 'Coolie No 1', 'Dulhe Raja', 'Aunty No 1', 'Aankhen', 'Chhote Sarkar', 'Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharnii' among many others. Earlier on, director David Dhawan in whose films Kader Khan was a staple, also mourned at this great loss to Bollywood as he credited the late actor for many successes in his career.
