Bollywood's #MeToo movement gained momentum in October where high-profile figures from the industry were called out. Among many that was named was director, Sajid Khan. However, in an interview to a leading daily, actor Chunky Panday who has worked with Khan on a plethora of projects namely 'Housefull', 'Himmatwala', 'Housefull 3' has backed the ace-director

Chunky Panday backs Sajid Khan: 

He stated that Sajid is 'loud and flamboyant', and that he can say anything and get away with it, but 'does not mean half the things'. “People can misunderstand him easily. That is what has led to all this and caused trouble for him. I am no one to judge. I wasn’t there with him to say either way. These things came to light so he paid a price for being a loudmouth and somewhere he will have to clarify,” Chunky further added.

#MeToo charge: 

Sajid Khan was accused of sexual harassment by a series of women at the workplace including Rachel White, Karishma Upadhyay, Simran Suri, and Saloni Chopra, and has been suspended by the Indian Film and Television Directors' Association (IFTDA) for one year. The verdict was passed after Khan appeared before the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) set up by the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) on October 2018, where the allegations against him were investigated.

Sajid Khan steps down: 

After the #MeToo charge, Sajid Khan stepped down from directing 'Housefull 4' and also issued an elaborate statement on Twitter. Read below-

Chunky Panday was last seen in the film 'Saaho'. 

'Saaho' is an action-entertainment which features Prabhas as an outlaw and Shraddha Kapoor as a police officer. Besides the lead pair, the film stars Jackie Shroff, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Panday, Arun Vijay, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mahesh Manjrekar, Lal, Evelyn Sharma, among others.‘Saaho’, produced by UV Creations, releases in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, while the Hindi version is presented by T-Series
