CONFIRMED: It's Gangsters Galore As John Abraham & Emraan Hashmi Join Jackie Shroff And Suniel Shetty In 'Mumbai Saga' Cast

John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi to star alongside Jackie Shroff and Suniel Shetty in upcoming gangster drama 'Mumbai Saga'.

In one of the most interesting collaborations of recent times, veteran Bollywood actors Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty have joined hands with John Abraham, and Emraan Hashmi to star in upcoming gangster drama 'Mumbai Saga'. The film which is set to be directed by Sanjay Gupta will also feature Amol Gupte, Prateik Babbar, Gulshan Grover, and Rohit Roy.

Film Critic and Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and made the announcement of the same. Sharing pictures of the star cast of the film, he wrote, "IT'S OFFICIAL... John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi in #MumbaiSaga... The gangster drama is set in the 1980s and 1990s... Costars Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Gulshan Grover, Rohit Roy, and Amole Gupte... Directed by Sanjay Gupta... "

In a consecutive post, he revealed that the film is all set to go on floors next month and is scheduled for a 2020 release. The project is backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Anuradha Gupta. He also mentioned how the announcement came as Sanjay Gupta completed 25 years in the industry. His directorial debut 'Aatish' released in 1994.

As per media reports, Gupta, who has previously helmed films like 'Kaante', 'Musafir', 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' and 'Kaabil', said his upcoming directorial is his most ambitious project till date.

"'25 years, 17 films later I had to give my audience something bigger and better. 'Mumbai Saga' is by far my most ambitious film which needed a visionary producer. And I am grateful to Bhushan Kumar for putting his faith and might in it. It is one such story that needs to be said on screen," PTI quoted the director as saying. 

Set in the 1980s-'90s, the film revolves around all that went into transforming Bombay into Mumbai.
