Confirmed: Nana Patekar To Hold Press Conference Agaist Allegations Made By Tanushree Dutta

Nana Patekar, who has been shooting for his forthcoming film 'Housefull 4', demanded a legal apology from Tanushree Dutta for maligning his image through a legal notice.

Nana Patekar, who has been shooting for his forthcoming film 'Housefull 4', demanded a legal apology from Tanushree Dutta for maligning his image through a legal notice. The actress has accused the veteran actor of alleged misconduct while shooting for a song from 'Horn Ok Please' back in 2008.

Nana has been off the spotlight ever since the news broke, however, he has been in touch with his advocate who sent across a legal notice to Tanushree on Friday. Speaking to Republic, he doled out details saying, "We sent out the legal notice to Tanushree on Friday evening and she will receive it by end of day today. The allegations have been denied and we have also asked for an apology in writing. We have also said that you knew that the allegations were false still made it in the view to malign and defame my client and he has received several calls where people have been surprised and that by itself is amongst the defamation. And we have said in case you don't send an apology, we will file criminal proceedings against you."

While Nana has been away, rumours of him holding a press conference in the first week of October were abuzz. Only hours after Union Minister For Women And Child Development Maneka Gandhi's take on the issue, it has been confirmed that the actor is indeed holding a press conference on October 8, in Mumbai. Meanwhile, security outside Tanushree's home has been beefed up for which she thanked the Mumbai Police in a statement which came out on October 2. Speaking about the alleged attack on her on the day after the incident took place, Tanushree shared, "Not only was I harassed, but the Manase party attacked me, there was a mob lynching kind of a situation that I had to face." the actress added, "It was a horrific incident that changed the way I was looking at this industry."
