'Congrats but it was not a happy day for animals', PETA slams Priyanka-Nick for using horses and elephants at their wedding

The Hindu style wedding of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas which was held on December 2  was a really traditional affair with use of horses and elephants for a complete royal experience. However, not everyone is happy with this decision on the celeb couple's part.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got hitched in a royal manner at the Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur. The Hindu ritual wedding which was held on December 2  was a really traditional affair with use of horses and elephants for a complete royal experience. However, not everyone is happy with this decision on the celeb couple's part.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals or PETA as it is better known as has accused PeeCee and Nick of animal cruelty. Addressing the fact that they used the poor animals at their nuptials, the group raised its concern over the matter and expressed its disappointment. Directly addressing the two on social media they congratulated them but added that it was not a happy day for the animals. 

Not only did they post this but PETA also shared a video where what the animals go through is shared in painful detail. Particularly the video focuses on the use of spikes which are placed on the insides of the horse's mouth for better control. It also showed some couples who decided to put an end of animal cruelty and decided to not use any animals for their nuptials.

Meanwhile, this is not the only aspect of the Priyanka Nick wedding that is being criticised. Netizens have also been really critical about the use of fireworks in their wedding after the actress recently featured in a video to not burst firecrackers during Diwali.
