Dabangg 3: Salman Khan Films to let go of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's songs

In the wake of the ban on all Pakistani artists in Indian cinema, actor Salman Khan and the makers of his upcoming film Dabangg 3 have decided to drop the voice of Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from two songs that he had already recorded for the film. The singer has sung many memorable songs like Tere Mast Mast Do Nain and Dagabaaz in the earlier instalments of the Dabangg franchise. However, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan claimed that the decision does not affect his relationship with actor Salman Khan as it was not intentional but purely circumstantial.

Apart from the songs in the Dabangg movies, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has also voiced songs for Salman Khan in other movies. The song Jag Ghoomeya from Yash Raj Films' Sultan was one of the popular ones. A spokesperson for the singer has clarified that even though the songs recorded by Rahat for Dabangg 3 were good, the makers had to take the step of replacing his voice with another artist's. The decision was purely on the basis of the sentiments of the country which is respected by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

The ongoing tussle between India and Pakistan dates back to the Pulwama terror attack earlier this year. Indian filmmakers had then decided to not work with Pakistani artists until the tension between the two countries subsides. Meanwhile, Salman Khan is all set for the release of his new movie Dabanng 3. It will be the third instalment of the Dabangg franchise. The movie will feature actors Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, and Kiccha Sudeep in the lead roles. Veteran actor Mahesh Manjrekar's daughter is going to debut with Dabangg 3 where she will be seen in the role of Salman Khan's character Chulbul Pandey's ex-lover.

Action-packed 2020

Dabangg 3 will hit Indian theatres on December 20. Post this film, Salman Khan will feature in Prabhudeva's Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai along with Disha Patani, Bharath, Randeep Hooda, and Jackie Shroff. This movie will mark the actor's third collaboration with Prabhudeva as the director.
