Boney Kapoor’s latest film with Ajith lived up to the hype you associate with the term ‘AK 59’ (his 59th film) as the poster of ‘Ner Konda Parvaai’ was the talk of not just Kollywood, but even Bollywood, immediately on its release. While the netizens were left overwhelmed with the single glimpse, even the Kapoor family was similarly excited. Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor couldn’t hold themselves from sharing the poster on social media.
The producer’s son Arjun wrote, “Dads next with the legend... (sic)” and used the hashtag #ThalaAjith for the actor, who’s affectionately called Thala or leader. Janhvi captioned the poster on social media, ‘Papa’s first Tamil film! Can’t wait” along with heart and gratitude emoticons. Even Boney’s brother Anil shared that he couldn’t wait for the movie while addressing Ajith as Thala.
The Kapoor who would've been the most pleased would have been Sridevi. It was the late legendary actress who had expressed a wish for her husband to work with the Tamil superstar after she had shared brief screen space with him in 'English Vinglish.'
'Ner Konda Parvaai' is the official remake of 2016 critically acclaimed crime drama 'Pink', starring Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang, among others. Ajith steps into the shoes of Big B and as soon as the look had dropped, netizens had started comparisons.
Directed by H Vinoth, 'Ner Konda Parvaai' also stars Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang, and Vidya Balan in a pivotal role.
