Dalip Tahil Booked For Drunk Driving And Involvement In Hit-And-Run

As per reports, actor Dalip Tahil was arrested for drunk driving after he allegedly rammed his car into an autorickshaw and attempted to flee. The actor was arrested after he was reportedly involved in a road accident wherein he was driving under the influence of alcohol and attempted to flee the scene. As per reports, Dalip's car rammed into an autorickshaw injuring two passengers on board. The actor attempted to flee the but was caught in a traffic jam owing to Ganesh Visarjan processions, as reported. Reportedly, the passengers caught up with Dalip and confronted him. Reports suggest that the actor got into an argument and pushed the passengers around. The police were summoned and Tahi's car was taken into custody, as reported.

The passengers have been identified as 21-year-old Jenita Gandhi and 22-year-old Gaurav Chugh. As per reports, Dalip was arrested and taken to Khar Police Station. Reportedly, the police said that the impact of the collision caused Gandhi, 21, to sustain a severe jolt to her back and neck. As per reports, the police also said that Gandhi, 21, and Chugh, 22, got off the autorickshaw and saw the actor trying to flee towards Santacruz. However, the car could not get far for the street was crowded owing to the Ganesh Visarjan processions, said an officer at the police station, as reported.

The actor has been booked for causing injury due to rash and negligent driving and driving under the influence of alcohol. Dalip, reportedly, refused to give a sample of his blood and was released on bail. The trio involved in the accident was taken for a medical checkup.
