The ever so controversial chat show hosted by none other than Karan Johar is all set to return to the small screen. With each cup of freshly brewed coffee, this filmmaker asks the spiciest and controversial questions to some of B-town’s finest. On Friday, the ‘Koffee With Karan’ host took to his official  Twitter handle to reveal who’d be sipping on coffee with him on October 21. Going with the theme of the decade, the filmmaker tweeted, “The first cup of koffee is all about #girlpower !! Welcome @deepikapadukone and @aliaa08 on episode 1 season 6 of #koffeewithkaran on @StarWorldIndia @hotstartweets”

Season 6 episode 1 is all set to premiere on October 21.  Earlier reports suggested that the rumoured couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will appear in an episode of the show where they will finally make their relationship official.  The much-talked about show has been the starting point for several controversies in the past and is expected to be the case in this season too.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt who was last seen in the Meghna Gulzar directorial, ‘Raazi’, is all set to shine on the silver screen with her rumoured boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in the Ayan Mukherji directorial titled, ‘Brahmastra’. In addition to this, Alia will also share screen space with Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur in ‘Kalank’, a period film. The film also stars Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, and Sonakshi Sinha in pivotal roles. Reports suggest that while Varun will portray the role of a blacksmith during the British rule in India, Sonakshi Sinha will play the role of a Banjaran.
