Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh Wedding: As The Couple Exchange Engagement Rings, Bride-To-Be Gets Emotional 

Within a few hours from now, Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will be officially married and fans can hardly contain their excitement. The couple kick-started their wedding celebrations with a grand sangeet and wedding ceremony on Tuesday and as per reports, the bride-to-be Deepika became emotional and broke down in tears while Shubha Mudgal was performing. As per reports, soon after Deepika turned emotional, Ranveer walked up to his lady love, hugged her and made her smile again. 

The couple will get married following each other's traditions and rituals-- Sindhi and Konkani at Lake Como, Italy on November 14 and 15. And, while the couple's made sure to maintain the privacy of their wedding, one can say that their fans are eagerly waiting to get their hands on anything and everything from their wedding functions.

Just yesterday, the couple was formally engaged in the presence of their family members and friends. The ritual was a traditional Konkani 'Phool Muddi' ceremony, where the bride's father welcomes the groom's parents, and then washes the groom-to-be's feet, after giving him a coconut, and thus formally welcoming him to the family. 

The couple exchanged rings and it was an emotional moment for everyone present. Nitasha Gaurav, Ranveer Singh’s stylist shared a tweet yesterday, “No pictures but it was love personified to see them together today. Couldn’t stop my tears, but these were tears of happiness and so I hope they never do. #DeepVeerKiShaadi #ranveerkishaadi #foreverlove”. 

Meanwhile, expectations are soaring from the upcoming wedding. The couple will reportedly tie the knot according to South Indian rituals, related to Konkani customs which Deepika belongs to on 14 November and according to Sindhi traditions, familiar to Ranveer's culture, on 15 November. It is also expected that just like Virat and Anushka, the two will be the first to break the news on social media that they are hitched.

As far as the music is concerned, Harshdeep Kaur is said to be one of the performers for the Mehendi function and is likely to sing tracks like ‘Kabira’ from Deepika’s ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and from Ranveer’s ‘Band Baaja Baraat’. In terms of food, one can expect signature dishes in Konkani style on the 14 and in Sindhi style on the 15. After the big fat wedding, the stars will also throw big reception parties in Bangalore and Mumbai on November 21 and November 28 respectively.
