Leela from Ram-Leela

She played Leela in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon ki Rasleela Ram Leela opposite Ranveer Singh. The film was the director’s take on Romeo and Juliet with an Indian twist. This was the first time the audience witnessed the couple together on the screen and the fans loved the duo together. Her performance gained a lot of accreditation and she even went on to win the Filmfare for Best Actor (Female).

Deepika Padukone will portray yet another versatile role in her upcoming film, Chhapaak. She will be playing the role of Laxmi, a real-life acid-attack survivor. The film also stars Vikrant Massey in the lead role. The film is all set to hit the silver screens on January 10, 2020.
