Deepika Padukone stunned the audience with her big Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the Farah Khan directorial ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007). Ever since the actress has established a strong foothold in the industry and is one of the Bollywood actresses who has notched up her acting ability with every on-screen performance. Deepika has gone on to become one of the most sought-after actresses in recent times and has a million fans drooling over her drop dead gorgeous looks and infectious smile.
However, of late, Deepika has been in the news more for personal reasons that professional. The actress was on a break after her film with Irrfan Khan was put on hold due to the actor’s ill health. Reports now suggest that the 'Padmaavat' actress could be all set to return to work with ‘Raazi’ director Meghna Gulzar. Not too long ago, it was reported that Deepika has been offered the lead role in the remake of one of late actress Sridevi's hit films from the 70s. Whether or not reports of Deepika and Meghna’s collaboration could be anything related to this, only time will tell.

Meanwhile, on the personal front, Deepika Padukone has been making headlines for her rumoured impending wedding to her alleged boyfriend Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. According to reports, the alleged couple is all set to tie the knot on November 10 at Lake Como in Italy. The actress was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' which released on January 15, 2018.
Ranveer Singh is currently shooting for his next ‘Simmba’ alongside Sara Ali Khan. Ranveer plays a notorious cop in the film which is directed by Rohit Shetty. The film his a Hindi remake of Telugu film 'Temper' which starred NTR Jr and Kajal Aggarwal. Ranveer will also be seen in Zoya Akhtar’s next ‘Gully Boy’ alongside Alia Bhatt. The film is based on the story of real-life street rappers Divine and Naezy from Mumbai's Dharavi slum and is slated for a release on December 28, 2018. Besides this, the actor has also bagged a role in the Karan Johar directorial ‘Takht’, a war epic, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. Karan Johar had taken to social media to make an official announcement of the film’s star cast. He had posted, “Supremely Excited to announce the cast of #TAKHT!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
