Deepika Padukone is one of the most well-recognised celebrities of all times and is known for her exceptional acting skills and contribution to films. The actress has been on a sabbatical from films after the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' in which she essayed the titular role of 'Rani Padmavati'. However, the recent buzz is that Deepika is all set to co-produce her next project with the 'Raazi' director Meghna Gulzar.
Reports suggest that the two have met on various occasions and have decided to collaborate. Reportedly, the film is based on an acid attack survivor named Lakshmi Agarwal, who was attacked by a man after she rejected her proposal. After the incident, Lakshmi went on to start her own NGO in order to help other acid victims, if reports are to be believed.
The film is said to go on floors in February, however, nothing has been confirmed as of now. As per a report, Deepika will be co-producing the film along with Meghna Gulzar. Currently, Gulzar is said to be gearing up for a film on Sam Manekshaw and will be co-producing it too. Reportedly, Deepika Padukone has set up a production house that will be associated with interesting and content-driven films.
On the personal front, speculations are rife that the actress might tie the knot with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh in November 2018 and of the various rumours that did the rounds on the grapevine, including about a Switzerland wedding (perhaps owing to Ranveer Singh's association with the Alpine nation), the one that is currently most credible is that the wedding will be held at Lake Como, Italy and only close friends and family members will be invited.
