Deepika Padukone's apt reply to fashion critics is a must-read

Deepika Padukone who often dazzles netizens with her sartorial fashion choices has lately been taking the risk and experimenting with style. Lately, she awed everyone with a purple body con feathered dress at IIFA. And, while there were many who criticized the actress, there were others who lauded her for taking the bold decision and try out something new.

In a recent media interaction, Padukone was asked about her fashion sense and who between her and husband Ranveer is more fun when it comes to outfits. To which, she said, "I wear a white shirt and blue jeans and everyone's like so boring, why can't she try something fun. And then when I try something fun they are like oh now she's trying to be like her husband. She should just stick to doing the classic stuff that she always does. What do you want?"

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Deepika Padukone will be seen in two films over the next few months. She will be seen in Chhapaak, which hits the theatres on January 11. The film, directed by Meghna Gulzar, is the adaptation of the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The movie also stars Vikrant Massey. Next, she will play wife in ‘83 opposite her husband Ranveer Singh. While Ranveer plays the role of World-Cup winning Captain Kapil Dev, Deepika plays the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev in the movie. ‘83’ is being directed by Kabir Khan and is the story of India’s historic World Cup victory in 1983.
