According to a report on BoxofficeIndia.com, Aamir Khan-Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Thugs Of Hindostan' opened to a whopping collection of Rs 50 crore. The film has gone on to bag the title of the highest opener ever. It has beaten 'Baahubali - The Conclusion' by around 9 crore nett and 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' by around 11 crore nett, further states the report. 

The Aamir Khan-Amitabh Bachchan starrer touted to be a period film set in the backdrop of pre-Independence era sees the duo come together on screen for the very first time. 'Dangal' star Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif are also seen in pivotal roles in the film. 

While the film may not enjoy much success from a critics point of view, it is certainly generating the footfalls to cinema halls. Recently, the movie has a different kind of problem to encounter, that of online piracy. According to reports, the Vijay Krishna Acharya directorial has been leaked within hours of it releasing across the country. The ones responsible for this crime are none other than the notorious online piracy website Tamilrockers. Ever since the news of the leak has come out, outraged fans have demanded authorities to take severe action, as this is the second major film that has fallen prey to them in the last one week.
