Did Akshay Kumar Just Call Mouni Roy A Snob?

We've often have heard film stars boasting about the great camaraderie they share with their co-stars during the shoot and they are nothing short of praises when they are promoting a film. Very rarely would you hear an actor or actress call their co-stars a snob? Well! expect the unexpected from Akshay Kumar as the gentleman called his 'Gold' co-star Mouni Roy a 'snob'.


Hold on, this was all said in a humorous gesture. During the promotional tour in Delhi for their film 'Gold', Akshay talking about his equation to the media and said,

"We are friends. We enjoy ourselves. I play a lot of games with them, and there has not been even one day on the sets that we haven’t played. Mouni wouldn’t play any games. She was a snob on the sets of the film".

Quickly defending herself, Mouni clarified that she used to play games like snakes & ladders and Ludo. And Akshay Kumar couldn't agree more to it. Having his share of fun at Mouni's expense, Akshay said,

"So, I just enjoy with them. I don’t have any approach. It is not like - I have been in the industry for 28 years now and they are new, so I will act differently. My approach towards them is that they are really good friends, and I try to learn and gain from them as much as possible."

Akshay Kumar starrer 'Gold' released on Independence Day has opened up at a reported amount of Rs.25.25 crores, making the film the third highest opener of the year 2018. However, the second day saw a drastic decline in the film's collection which summed up merely at Rs.8 crores reportedly, making its two-day collections to Rs.33.25 crores. 

Directed by Reema Kagti, 'Gold' lead by Akshay Kumar is the story of Independent India's first Olympic gold medal and the honour was brought by Indian Men's Hockey team on August 12, 1948. The film consists of an ensemble cast that includes Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Mouni Roy, Sunny Kaushal and Nikita Dutta.  'Gold' was released alongside John Abraham and Manoj Bajpai starrer 'Satyamev Jayate'.
