Prabhas who became a household name after his stint in 'Baahubali' is gearing up for his next release, 'Saaho' alongside Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor. Meanwhile, the buzz is that 'Saaho' has been made with an approximate budget of Rs 250-300 crores, and not just that but lead actor Prabhas has charged Rs 100 crores as a fee.
However, in a recent interview with a media publication, the actor rubbished all the rumours and said, “Bahubali has set the bar high, but Saaho was a Rs 250 crore film, so I knew I couldn’t charge my usual remuneration. I started out with a 20% cut. Then, the film went slightly over and though my friends were ready to pay up, I couldn’t take their money knowing they were putting in so much without thinking of what they’d earn.”
The film also stars Jackie Shroff, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Panday, Arun Vijay, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mahesh Manjrekar, Lal, Evelyn Sharma, among others. 'Saaho' has been directed by Sujeeth. ‘Saaho’, produced by UV Creations, releases in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, while the Hindi version is presented by T-Series. ‘Saaho’ hits the theatres on August 30. This is Prabhas’ first film after the mammoth success of ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, directed by SS Rajamouli and also starring Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rana Daggubati, among others, which reportedly earned over Rs 1000 crore at the box office.
From the high-octane action sequences, romance between Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor or the visual of the ‘Baahubali’ actor’s bare-back shower scene, there was a lot for the fans to cheer for in the trailer.
