'Amar Akbar Anthony' which counts among the classics of Amitabh Bachchan, was an iconic action comedy film directed and produced by Manmohan Desai. The film stars Vinod Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor opposite Shabana Azmi, Parveen Babi and Neetu Singh in the lead roles. The plot of the 1977 venture narrates the story of three brothers, raised in different religious households—Hinduism, Islam and Christianity. After reuniting in a chance encounter, they set out to take revenge on those responsible for separating them.

On the other hand, 2005 venture 'Bunty Aur Babli is a crime comedy film directed by Shaad Ali starring Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Rani Mukerji. It was the first film to feature the veteran star alongside his son Abhishek Bachchan. It also had a guest appearance of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the song 'Kajra re' which has been the chartbuster of the year. Amitabh Bachchan essayed the role of a police officer in the film who was behind the infamous duo known as 'Bunty and Babli', played by Abhishek and Rani respectively.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Big B is gearing up for Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Moreover, he is also roped for mystery thriller 'Chehre' alongside Emraan Hashmi.
