With his recent releases working like magic on the audiences, Khurrana has managed to the actor to watch out for. Ayushmann Khurrana’s portrayal of the character Pooja in Dream Girl has garnered applause from the fans and critics. However, the character Pooja made the audience slip into nostalgia. There happens to be a connection between this film and Garam Masala.

Khurrana’s Pooja and Kumar’s Pooja Chacha

Ayushmann Khurrana was seen in Dream Girl playing a woman. The character connected with the audience as they have witnessed a similar story-line in the comedy flick Garam Masala. For those who do not have a context, here is the similarity. Akshay Kumar was seen tricking his girlfriend into believing that he had an uncle called Pooja Chacha, who in reality was one of his girlfriends called Pooja. One of his other girlfriends overhears him addressing someone as Pooja on the phone, to which he lies and says that his uncle is called Pooja.

Dream Girl showcases a similar bluff in its story. Ayushmann Khurrana is seen bluffing men in the movie, as they think Pooja is a woman.
