Ayushmann Khurrana is having the time of his career and there’s no stopping him. Though the actor has been in the news for ‘intense’ films this year, be it the success of ‘Article 15’ or the National Award for Best Actor (shared with Vicky Kaushal) for ‘AndhaDhun’, he is also set to return to the space that is slowly becoming synonymous with him. With ‘Dream Girl’, the 34-year-old is back to being the small-time man in a story that revolves around ‘uncomfortable’ topics. Only that this time he’s not fully a man but rather a ‘Dream Girl’, who is the heartbeat of the entire town. After wooing the people of the town in the movie, the actor also set out to do so in real-life by coming dressed as a woman at the trailer launch.
Ayushmann slayed in a turquoise and a baby pink Saree, that he wore over sports shoes at the trailer launch held in Mumbai on Monday. His love interest in the movie, Nushrat Bharucha even introduced the saree-clad ‘Dream Girl.’ And the ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ star didn't look out of place at all at the event, with the hilarious trailer being screened for the media before.
Later, he however, switched to his track pants, which was glowing like his career is at the moment.
The ‘Dream Girl’ trailer was one of the major talking points of the day as soon as it was unveiled. In the movie, he plays the character of a man, but one who doubles up a woman, first in mythological plays and then as one who indulges in flirty conversations with men, at a call centre.
The movie, directed by Raaj Shaandiliyaa and produced by Ekta Kapoor, hits the theatres on September 13.
