It's going to be a huge box-office clash next year as three filmmakers announce the their films to be released on Eid 2020 — Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Inshallah', Rohit Shetty's 'Sooryavanshi', Yash Raj Films' 'Shamshera' and SS Rajamoulli's 'RRR'.

The question is, who will shift the date? or one could even think that does a holiday release hold more importance or the content/script? Only time will tell.

As of now it looks like the clash will definitely affect one or the other film. To begin with, YRF made an announcement in July about their film 'Shamshera' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor in July 2018. Later, Rohit Shetty's made an announcement about Akshay Kumar's 'Sooryavanshi' to be released on Eid 2020 when 'Simmba' released in December 2018. And a few days back, SS Rajamoulli along with Ram Charan and Jr NTR at a press conference announced the release date of their film 'RRR' which is July 30, 2020 (Eid). And now, in one of the interviews, Salman Khan has confirmed that his film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali titled 'Inshallah' will release next year on Eid.

The actor said: "I’ll start Dabangg 3 first and then Sanjay will release his film after that. So, Dabangg will release in December and we will come on Eid, next Eid (2020)." [sic]

It's going to be a tough fight. One more point to observe here is that Alia Bhatt features in 'RRR' opposite Ram Charan and also opposite Salman Khan in 'Inshallah'.

Let's not forget Yash Raj Films 'Shamshera' that features Ranbir Kapoor.

For those unaware, Salman Khan's Eid releases have all crossed Rs. 100 crore at Box-office and became superhits except 'Tubelight' in 2017 and 'Race 3' in 2018. And now the actor is all set to release his next 'Bharat' on Eid 2019. After two flops

  • Wanted - 2009
  • Dabangg - 2010
  • Body Guard - 2011
  • Ek Tha Tiger - 2012
  • Kick - 2014
  • Bajrangi Bhaijaan - 2015
  • Sultan - 2016

Taking about reuniting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Salman Khan said in the interview: “Sanjay has got a lot of qualities. Like every director has a lot of qualities, Sanjay also has tremendous qualities like he has got his aesthetics right. He has got a great visual sense. He has got script sense which is a must for a director to have. Then, he has got a great command over scenes which have drama, emotions and now with Inshallah he’ll add romance and comedy too.”

Who will win the competition?
