Eminem got mainstream success after he signed a deal with Dr Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment, and his Slim Shady EP certainly established him as a major player of the rap game. He also managed to bag a Grammy for the same, thus making Dr Dre a very influential person in terms of his career. The two share a very special bond had have been at the top of the rap Industry with Dr Dre being the mentor of one of the most talented penners and rappers of all time. How did the two meet?
Dre was already an established name in the music industry when he discovered a record that had Em’s rap performance. Dre had signed a deal with Interscope Records and was already looking to sing a new talent. As soon as he heard the Detroit-based rapper’s flow, Em was on a plane to California. Em has always mentioned in his songs and speeches that it will always be an honour for him to work with the legendary music producer.
