Social media has made it easier for netizens to bridge the gap with their favourite stars. However, the negativity that comes along with it is at its peak. While trolling has been become common today and even celebrities are used to it now, some of the detractors go so low that celebrities can’t help but lash out at them. That’s what happened with ‘English Vinglish’ fame and well-known face down South, Priya Anand, who slammed one of them who wrote that she is a ‘symbol of bad luck’ as her co-stars legendary actress Sridevi and JK Ritish have passed away after they worked with her. The actress slammed the troll for being insensitive and hitting an all-time low. She advised him to have some empathy before exercising such ‘frivolous behaviour’, after which the person even apologised.

A user tweeted, “Sridevi acted with @PriyaAnand in ENGLISH VINGLISH. @SrideviBKapoor is no more now. JK Rithish acted with Priya Anand in LKG. JK Rithish is no more now. WHOEVER ACTS WITH PRIYA ANAND, THEY R DYING. Is PRIYA ANAND a symbol of BAD LUCK for her costars? @RJ_Balaji.”

The actress replied, “I usually don't respond to people like you. But I just want to let you know that it is a very insensitive thing to say. I get that its easy to get away sounding dumb on social media but you my friend have it an all time low! I'm not going to respond by bringing you down...”

She added, “But please know that what you say can really trigger a lot of pain in people. So before you make such comments I hope u take a second and practice having some empathy and restrain from such petty frivolous behavior” and even took a dig at his handle which was all about love.

When someone asked her to ignore it, Priya replied, "It's kinda easy if they have something to say about me cause unfortunately we accept that as part of the territory. But these are ppl that are cherished and respected. This is just pathetic!."

The Twitter user realised his mistake and tweeed, “I am very sorry. I accept my mistake. I apologize. Today I was watching both of ur films LKG & ENGLISH VINGLISH. U r the common factor in both the films and such a question popped up. So I tweeted just like that. I thought u will never read tweets. Sorry to hurt u.”

Priya too calmed down, “Thank u for ur apology. I appreciate it.”

On the professional front, after 'English Vinglish', Priya worked in Hindi movies like 'Rangrezz' and 'Fukrey' franchise. She also worked in numerous Tamil and Malayalam films like 'Kayamkulam Kochunni'. She is currently working on 'Adithya Varma', the Tamil remake of 'Arjun Reddy' starring Vikram's son Dhruv Vikram.
