Recently, Amitabh Bachchan claimed that he came up with the abbreviation of his blockbuster film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (K3G) and tried his hands at abbreviations yet again with the title of his upcoming film Gulabo Sitabo. The abbreviation devised by him for Gulabo Sitabo is 'GiBoSibo'. This 'cool as cat' abbreviation by the legendary actor received a lot of appreciation from Twitterati. His co-star from the film, Ayushmann Khurrana too replied to the tweet writing, "SIANACAYBGSSDC (Sir, I am not as creative as you but GiBoSiBo sounds damn cool!)"

Popular comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was at the center of a controversy after one of its characters Champaklal in an episode stated that Hindi was the language of Mumbai. The statement did not sit well with many, but the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), in its customary style, took things too far and issued threats to the makers.

According to a report on an entertainment website, Kareena spoke about her career and her movies in an interview. Kareena shared that she had many instances where she met with the opportunity of working with Zoya Akhtar, but it did not work out. Riteish Deshmukh has done some action films in the regional language cinema but told a media portal that he has no desire of doing what Tiger Shroff has done in the upcoming film, Baaghi 3. He further added to his comments saying that that kind of action is something that only Tiger can pull off on the big screen. Thappad is evidently enjoying a stable run at the box office as it has earned ₹19.13 crores ever since its release in Inda. The film opened on a sombre note by earning ₹3.07 crores but the positive word of mouth surrounding the film helped bring in increasing footfalls through the weekends. during the weekend, Taapsee Pannu starrer Thappad managed to collect ₹14.66 crores.
