Esha Gupta, who was once rumoured to be in a relationship with Hardik Pandya and even marrying him, has denied she is even friends with him. The actress lashed out at his recent controversial comments by saying that such views were ‘wrong on humanity.’

When asked at the launch of her single ‘Get Dirty’ in Mumbai about Hardik and KL Rahul’s comments on ‘Koffee with Karan’, she replied, “Many times people get more excited and say such things. I think even then a little education should be given on how to talk, especially about women."

She felt everyone associated with the show is accountable for an answer, “We publicize such things and later raise questions, I think we should question everyone involved in the show.”

When a journalist termed the all-rounder as her ‘friend’ while asking a question, she denied it by saying, “Who is the one who told you (Hardik Pandya) is my friend?”

She continued by slamming them for their comments. “Firstly, women should not compare themselves with men. We are the best in every respect. I don’t want anyone to feel bad, but why don’t you give birth to a child? We suffer from periods five days every month and even then we have to dance, go to an office, and take care of the children. When you can do all this, you become superior,”

She added, “I do not think anyone should talk bad about any woman, if you think your family is not worried about it, then be it, but it is wrong on humanity.”

Rumours of Hardik and Esha’s relationship had done the rounds and the actress had even denied reports about them tying the knot in August last year.

Hardik has been slammed mercilessly for his sexist, misogynist and racist comments. Some of his statements that sparked a row were when he stated that he likes to ’observe’ women ‘move’ as he was from ‘black side’ on why he never asked for their names. He boasted about his sex life to his parents and they were fine with it and also revealed how they felt proud when he pointed out multiple women in a party on who interests him. The cricketer also said the man who has ‘talent’ wins the girl after Rahul said it’s up to the girl on the question "If you all hit on the same women, then how do you decide?"

Both he and Rahul have been dropped from the ongoing series in Australia and the upcoming New Zealand tour following the controversy. The duo has issued ‘’unconditional apologies’ in reply to the show-cause notice sent to them by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
