Meanwhile, SRK came to the film's defense as he said that it has really saddened him how the film has been received, even though it has happened to him before. SRK believes that both Aamir and Amitabh have delivered excellence in cinema for decades and some seem to have forgotten that as they are judging the film too harshly. Although he did point out that both of them have incredible spirit and will bounce back from this setback stronger than ever. An exasperated Khan had also added that 'Thugs of Hindostan' is not 'Pirates of the Caribbean', so people should just drop the comparison. The film co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif released on November 8 on the occasion of Diwali and has since crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark, in spite of the reviews.
