On Friday, Tanushree Dutta controversy took a new turn after Rakhi Sawant spilt the beans on the incident, alleging she was present on set that day.

Speaking to the media in a press conference, she threatened Tanushree to confront her as she was present on ground zero when the incident took place back in 2008. Rakhi even went on to ask the media to look at her previous statements made during the shoot of 'Horn Ok Please' where she claims nobody misbehaved with Tanushree.

Speaking exclusively to Republic TV, she said,

"The truth is that she (Tanushree) never wanted to be a part of the film. She didn't like the song 'Nathani Utaro' because she was doing many big films back then. When you don't like the song or wanted to be a part of it then why did you waste the money of the producers? Why did you come to the sets? What if the producers now come in the spotlight and file a lawsuit against her for wasting crores of rupees then what will she do? The way she is blaming everyone, even the producers have the right to play the blame game."

While Bollywood lauds Tanushree for breaking her silence, Rakhi has lashed out the actress terming this as a 'publicity stunt'.

"#MeToo movement is for those who have actually suffered injustice. She (Tanushree) is taking full advantage of this movement to shame Bollywood and its stars and if this happens Bollywood and India will face international shame worldwide", said Rakhi Sawant.

She further added that the producer was going to commit suicide because of Tanushree not showing up on set as it costed crores.

"I am saying these things in such a tone and manner because she has not only abused Bollywood but Bollywood's legend Nana Patekar. So even she is liable to hear some."

While the #MeToo movement that started with the downfall of Harvey Weinstein in the west, whose facing criminal charges, ignited a new rage of silent protest where several big-wigs came forward to tell their story. Similar to the Hollywood uproar, Tanushree pouring her heart out on the incident, can be seen as Bollywood finally addressing the issue too. However, will this be a fresh start for celebrities to speak up on the issue or to become a matter of debate, only time will tell.

Meanwhile, buzz is that Nana Patekar, who is currently shooting for his film 'Housefull 4' in Jaisalmer, will hold a press conference to address the allegations in the first week of October.
