In the wake of the movement, Producer Vinta Nanda broke her silence and accused veteran actor Alok Nath for rape and brutality. In a press conference held on October 9, she went on to talk about her intention of opening up on this matter after 19 years adding that she wants women to speak up and hold their predators accountable for their wrong doings. "He is obviously disempowered or he's not powerful. You need guts to come out and say yes this happened and I am sorry for it. He's not given denials even in 2003, 04 and 2005 when I talked about it or wrote about it in the media. Published it so he's not in any position to deny it today but the fact that he's doing it I would imagine that he's afraid and he's the one to deal with his fear."

Now, Alok Nath, who swicthed his phone off and went MIA post the allegations, has hired a top criminal lawyer Ashok Saraogi. Speaking exclusively to Dinesh Maurya for Republic TV, the actor's advocate shared that Alok Nath is in a state of tremendous shock and doctor has advised him to take bed rest for a couple of days. He further added that Alok will hold a press conference after two days.

Meanwhile the actor in an interaction with a media outlet on October 8 shared that in the current situation, if a woman accuses a man of rape, no one will consider listening to the man's version of the story and so it is useless to react. He further added that he has known her for a very long time and that he would not like to comment about the matter. Saying that he is coming in terms with the whole thing, he stated that Vinta Nanda has a right to put forward her thoughts, but given the whole situation, he would comment about it later.
