Bollywood actors Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra are currently gearing up for the release of their next film ‘Namastey England’. The movie directed by Vipul Shah is a sequel to the 2007 film Namastey London that featured Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar. The romantic-comedy film traces the journey of two individuals  from Punjab to London, who travel across the landscape of India and Europe.

In an exclusive interview with Republic TV, the lead actors of the film got candid about the film, which they have been seen promoting extensively. When the two were asked whether the film has similarities to Namastey London, Arjun Kapoor said:

"The kind of environment and world we have tried to create is going to resonate with people who like London or Namastey London. That was the whole point of calling it Namastey England or else we could have named it anything else. But there is an inherent feeling you get while watching it , that these are the kind of films because of the same director. He has managed to tap into the milieu really nicely- the desi videsi, the rom com with desi tadka. I think the ingredients are the same but the recipe is a bit different."

When asked whether Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif have seen the trailer of the film , Arjun Kapoor said that Akshay Kumar might have seen since he is in touch with the director Vipul Shah. He further said, “Katrina inquired about the date of the trailer release and she was happy that I was working with Vipul sir. Katrina like Vipul as a director and as a person as he risked taking her in the film, at a time when the industry was not aware of her acting side."

Meanwhile, Parineeti Chopra who often posts behind the scenes from the fim on her social media profile said, "Whenever I used to post behind the scenes of the shoot, Katrina would message and say that she misses working with Vipul and is glad that we two are working with him."

The tagline of the film states, ''Love can travel any distance'. When they were asked if they have travelled lengths for love, Parineeti Chopra said, "I think I am that person. I believe in the institution of love , marriage and relationships . I am that person. I feel that if you give love your all then you have not lived your full life. That is my personal belief. That's only because I feel  however much success or money we may get, ultimately we like to get to back to a home full of love and happiness . So for that you need to sacrifice a few things and it is something you need to work on. I do believe in going the distance for love. So far it has not happened, hopefully it will happen soon."

The film is set to release on October 19 across the nation. When asked if they were nervous as there is only a week left for the release, Arjun said that the nervousness is there before the release of the trailer and then two days before the film releases. At this point he feels that there is not much time to be nervous since they are busy marketing film and and the end of the day, they feel "numb".

Talking about marketing the film, Arjun Kapoor said, "It's exciting to make films. It can be sometimes difficult to market films beyond a point and our job as actors is to touch everybody with every interview. So I can safely say that, because it's Parineeti, I had a blast promoting. And the nice part is that it is such a simple film. You do not have to try and educate people that this is a unique film. If they like what they see in an interview, they will go see the film. So the nervousness is far lesser, it is more about making sure that we can reach the last leg without crossing more hurdles."
