Actress Radhika Apte spills the beans on being part of 'Sacred Games 2'

'Sacred Games' season two has taken the web world by storm and how. The show that featured Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles is all set for season two with fresh episodes. The makers broke the news through their official page online and fans of the Netflix original show couldn't contain their excitement.

In an exclusive interaction with Republic TV, Radhika Apte spilled the beans on her comeback in the much-awaited second installment. The actress, who played the role of  Anjali Mathur - a RAW agent teases her fans as she reveals that there might be a possibility. 

"I am very excited that the season two is coming now whether I am in it or not is something for you to wait and watch," she teased saying that she's kidding.  "I mean I can't say anything but it is so exciting. I think it is fantastic how well it has done. It is such a good project, it has such good story-telling, it's such good work and it puts us on a very different platform across the world and I am so excited about it." 

While 'Sacred Games' sure became one of the most talked about Indian original shows, it was 'Ghoul' where she shined as a through and through performer. While nothing has been said about the sequel of the thriller-drama, we ask Apte, if that's on the cards too. "Actually I don't know. I will be happy to know," she quipped.

The second season of 'Sacred Games' is said to pick up from Sartaj pursuing his relentless battle of saving the city and Ganesh Gaitonde facing bigger challenges to retain his position as the legendary kingpin of Mumbai. The intriguing Guruji aka Pankaj Tripathi, introduced in season one as Gaitonde’s ‘third father,’ plays a pivotal role in unfolding a chain of events that shape the next season. The second installment will be shot in India and locations overseas this fall. The highly anticipated season will see a mix of old favourites and fresh new characters to drive the storyline to its intrepid twists and turns.
