'Fast & Furious’ actor Michelle Rodriguez reviews Ranveer Singh's 'Gully Boy', here's what she had to say

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's 'Gully Boy' is all set to release on February 14 in India and after earning a tonne of compliments at the Berlin Film Festival, the film is garnering immense praise from celebs back home and overseas.

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's 'Gully Boy' is all set to release on February 14 in India and after earning a tonne of compliments at the Berlin Film Festival, the film is garnering immense praise from celebs back home and overseas. One such celebrity that seems to be in love with this film was the 'Fast & Furious' and 'Widows; star Michelle Rodriguez who claimed that the film was beautiful and reminded her of the cultural shift that was brought in by hip hip years ago in the Caribbean countries. 

Writing a heartfelt note on Twitter, she said “I remember when rap broke out of New York & made it to the Caribbean, my Brooklynn born bros would breakdance on cardboard boxes in Dominican Republic, America had no clue how impactful this platform was going to be for the underdog worldwide. Beautiful,”

However, she was not the only celebrity who was in awe of the film. Many big-wigs took to Twitter to laud the overall performance of the film. 

The film has already raised the expectations of the audience with its rap-packed trailer and a splendid performance of the lead pair in the preview. 

Ranveer is all set to portray a street rapper and was seen acing the rapping skills all through the teaser, trailer and the tracks of the film. Alia will take up the role of his love interest in the upcoming venture. It is co-produced by Zoya Akhtar's Tiger Baby and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment productions.

Meanwhile, just two days ahead of its release, the film has come under the radar of the Censor board. As per reports, a thirteen-second kissing scene between the film's lead roles, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt has been altered in the final cut. Instead of the close-up, the final scene will be a wider shot. In addition to this, there are also a string of other alterations that have to be made to the film, before its release.
