Emraan Hashmi has announced his next film titled 'Father's Day'

Actor Emraan Hashmi who has his kitty filled has announced another film of his, where he will be playing Suryakant Bhande Patil, India's top detective who has solved 120 child kidnapping cases for free. Taking to Twitter the actor wrote, "Excited to announce my film ‘Father’s day’ based on the life of Suryakant Bhande Patil, India’s top detective who has solved 120 child kidnapping cases for free. Directed by Shantanu Baagchi, written by @writish. Produced by @emraanhfilms & @mataramfilms. @priyagupta999"

Priya Gupta , who has co--produced 'Blackmail' and 'Tumhari sulu', will be producing this film too. 

The 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai' actor had recently announced two of his projects - he will be starring in 'Cheat India', the shooting of which has begun and he will be entering into the web space with Netflix original 'Bard Of Blood'. 

The film revolves around the emotional story between a father and son. The film is an adaptation of the book titled 'Drishyam Adrishyam' authored by Praful Shah. The director, Shantanu Baagchi, is debutante who is credited with more than 300 ad films. The screenplay and dialogue are by Ritesh Shah, who has done some brilliant work in 'Pink', 'Raid' and 'Airlift'.

Suryakant Bhande Patil is a Pune-based civil engineer who has been closely collaborating with cops, not only in Pune but also in Mumbai to trace missing children. He has even dedicated a website for them. Patil started his first detective agency named 'Spy Sanket' in 1999. 

Emraan Hashmi while talking to a city-based tabloid said that Suryakant Patil's story is heart-breaking and inspiring at the same time. He said that he is proud to play the role of a man who dedicated his entire life in finding kidnapped children of others, that too for free.
