Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana who has proved himself to be one of the most bankable actors in the industry with back to back hit films is all set to take up the role of a police officer in filmmaker Anubhav Sinha’s next film 'Article 15'. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on Twitter on Wednesday, March 6 and unveiled his first look from the film. The actor looked dapper donning a cop uniform which he paired with sunglasses. He can be seen taking a look at some papers standing beside a police cab.
In the post, Adarsh also revealed that while Khurrana will be essaying the role of the principal protagonist, he will be joined by a stellar support cast comprising of Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa , Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Naser, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat and Zeeshan Ayub for the upcoming venture. Giving out details about the film, the trade analyst captioned the post saying, "IT’S OFFICIAL... Ayushmann Khurrana in Anubhav Sinha’s next film #Article15... Costars Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub... Filming commenced on 1 March 2019 in #Lucknow..."

As per media reports, the upcoming venture is going to be an investigative drama which will be directed by Anubhav Sinha and will be produced by Benaras Media Works. This is going to be the first time 'Mulk' fame Sinha, will team up with Ayushmann Khurrana for a project.
Talking about the upcoming venture to ANI, Anubhav Sinha asserted that, "It is an investigative drama where the audience too is an accused party."
"It is a very challenging film that needed an extraordinary actor like Ayushmann. Delighted to have him on board with an explosive bundle of such talented and acclaimed actors," the filmmaker added.
Talking about the opportunity Ayushmann reportedly expressed his excitement. "I'm always intrigued by the socio-political situation of our country. We hardly see films which present the situation in an unbiased way. And it will be an absolute pleasure to work with him (Anubhav) on Article 15." ANI quoted him as saying.
As per media reports, the film and has gone on floors since the 1st of March 2019 in Lucknow.
