After threatening Deepika Padukone and the makers of Padmaavat against its release, fringe leader Suraj Pal Amu threatened Republic TV’s Aditya Raj Kaul. When Amu was reminded about his claim that he would chop off his beard if Padmaavat gets released, he got agitated and said,
“How dare you speak about my beard. Take back your words. I won’t give any interviews to Republic’.
When Amu was asked about his next move, he said, “I will go to a theatre, and ask people to boycott the movie.”
When asked which theatre is he planning to visit, he threateningly said,
“Why asking such questions, you are a child. You have no idea what I am going to do.”
He also threatened to forcibly stop Republic from reporting and speaking against fringe
“Aisi baat karne se pehle main logo ka muh band kar deta hoon apne haath se (I shut people up before they dare to say anything like this)," he said.
Amu further said that he will send legal notice to Republic TV for its coverage of ‘Padmaavat’.
While reacting on the attack on school buses in Gurugram on Wednesday, he said "it's unfortunate'. However, avoided the questions on who was behind the attack.
Meanwhile, Gurugram police said that it won’t allow Suraj Pal Amu to launch a tirade or use violence against the release of Padmaavat.
