Ganesh Chaturthi 2018: Shah Rukh Khan visits VPSG Mandal

The country is currently busy with the festivities of the 10-day long event of Ganpati festival. Even Bollywood celebs are celebrating the occasion with a lot of fervour seeking the blessings of Bappa. Many B'town celebs like Rishi Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Salman Khan's sister Arpita, Sonu Sood, Vivek Oberoi and many others welcomed Bappa into their homes. Joining the bandwagon is Shah Rukh Khan, who recently took blessings from Bappa by visiting a VPSG Mandal for Ganpati Darshan. 

The BJP Mumbai President Ashish Shelar, took to Twitter to share a picture with Shah Rukh after Ganpati Darshan. The father-of-three looked dapper in a simple white shirt and can be seen posing with the BJP Mumbai President, who welcomed him with a bouquet of roses. Ashish  captioned the picture as, "Pleased 2 welcome @iamsrk at our Vandre Paschim Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal for darshan."
 

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh welcomed Lord Ganesha to his home Mannat, in Mumbai as well. The actor had taken to Twitter to share a photo of the Ganesha idol with his son AbRam Khan praying. In his tweet, Shah Rukh revealed that AbRam refers to Ganpati as 'Pappa' instead of Bappa.
 

SRK's picture went viral and some netizens slammed Shah Rukh for worshipping a Hindu God and following Hindu rituals but some of his fans backed the 'Zero' star and showed religious indifference. Meanwhile, On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Anand L Rai’s ‘Zero’. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles. It has been garnering immense audience interest ever since it was revealed that Shah Rukh will play a dwarf in the film. ‘Zero’, which features Salman Khan in a cameo  is slated for a release on December 21, 2018. 

The trailer of the film will be unveiled on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday which is on November 2. The makers had released a teaser of 'Zero' featuring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan on Eid this year. Katrina’s look from the film was shared by Shah Rukh as he posted, “There are so many lovely pictures of her, but this one speaks to me beyond my friends beauty....hope u all also give it love. @katrinakaif”.”
