'Go vote! Empower yourself and this country', says Anushka Sharma to PM Modi's 'Vote For India' Election 2019 Clarion Call

Ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached out to several celebrities across domains urging them to encourage the voters of India to come out and execute their rights.

Ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached out to several celebrities across domains urging them to encourage the voters of India to come out and execute their rights. In a series of Tweets, he addressed several A-listers from the sports and entertainment industry asking them to create voter awareness. Tagging Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone, PM Modi asked them to encourage a large 2019 election voter turnout.

Responding PM Modi's appeal, Bollywood actress wrote, "We must all exercise our right to vote. Let us join hands and celebrate this glorious democracy. Go vote! Empower yourself and this country."

Meanwhile, apart from this, PM Narendra Modi also shared 'Four requests for Democracy' wherein he appealed to the eligible young voters to register for voting and encouraged people to spread awareness about the importance of voting in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

This comes barely four weeks ahead of the first phase of the Lok Sabha election, scheduled on April 11. The Election Commission on Sunday announced the dates of General Elections 2019. The nation will go into polls in seven phases beginning from April 11 till May 19. The counting of votes for all the states is scheduled to take place on May 23.
