One of the most handsome and respected actors of the film industry of all time and an effortless performer, Dharmendra turns 83 on Saturday. Out of all the adjectives one can use to describe the veteran for his acting, looks and warmth, the one that perhaps most people are likely to refer to him with is his simplicity.

The actor has always stayed away from the media glare, depriving fans of the chance to see him and read about him. However, his venturing into social media last year has bridged this gap tremendously and some of the pictures and videos he posts beautifully describes his simple side. Love for nature 

You browse through Dharmendra’s social media handles and you’ll be welcomed with beauty all across due to the number of moments from ‘Mother Nature’ that he shares. The actor just recently shared a video from the farm with vegetables in his hand to urge his fans to ‘grow organic.’

The veteran also posted numerous videos of the waterfalls and other water bodies. He is often seen posing in front of fields with beautiful flowers and more or just enjoying the nature’s company early morning. His thoughts about them in the videos are just the icing on the cake.

Dharmendra’s delight at riding a boat or spotting the quality of mangoes grown in his farms shows how simple he is at heart. 

Love for animals 

Dharmendra is a die-hard animal lover and has pets of all kinds. From big dogs to little birds, roosters and other animals occupy most of his time.

 He himself serves the fodder for the cows, bulls and calves.

He had called his relationship with fans ‘unconditional love’, and had an important message from abroad on how India can also be clean like other countries.

Struggling with the times, but growing with it too 

Unlike the manner of spreading information about films during his heydays, Dharmendra couldn’t quite handle the frantic pace of movie promotions today. After the release of ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’, he had called the trend of promotions as ‘blowing your own trumpet’ and called it a ‘load on my soul.’

However, he also shared how he is growing to learn this world by travelling. 

Ranveer Singh sums it up: Ranveer Singh is a fan of the actor and one of those few actors who comments on Dharmendra’s pictures and videos, like he had sent love-filled emoticons for this video of the veteran imitating a girl’s walk on a graphic board in London.
