Children’s Day is celebrated on November 14 every year. This day marks the birthday of freedom fighter and the first Prime Minister of the country, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Children's Day celebrations have multiple games, fun foods, and competitions for children. Children's Day events are organised for kids in schools and community centres too. Here are a few party themes you can keep on Children’s Day occasions to add some fun twists in the festival.

Party themes for Children’s Day

Patriotic theme

Parties with a patriotic theme will be both educational as well as a fun activity for kids of small ages. Kids will learn about the freedom struggle and at the same time also learn about various leaders who helped in Indian independence. You decorate the place with important moments in history, cutouts of some monuments, and so on. The kids can be dressed as freedom fighters, which will help them learn more about the people they have become.

Superhero theme

A superhero theme can be a playful theme as most kids like superheroes and will connect and enjoy their day. You can ask the kids to dress in superhero attire and give them gifts that are related to superheroes. Things like posters and action figures can be used to decorate the party place. You can also make snacks like cookies and cakes in the shape of a superhero logo or a picture.

Costume party

As kids, many dream of becoming a doctor, an astronaut, an actor, and many other things. You can keep a costume party where you can tell them to wear the clothes of what they wish to become when they grow up. This will help entertain kids and, at the same time, help them learn about different professions. You can keep a dance party with it, which will help entertain kids too.

Piñata party

You can keep a piñata party, where the kids come by to enjoy singing, dancing, and hitting a piñata. You can keep a treasure hunt to make the party more fun. Then bring in a piñata filled with candy, chocolates, and toys. Hang the piñata at so that kids can take turns to try to break it. It will be a fun activity where kids will be blindfolded and will take turns to break the piñata.
