Here's How Aamir Khan Reacted When Rani Mukerji Asked For His Autograph

Rani Mukerji's first meet with Aamir Khan didn’t meet the desired end. As per reports, while recalling the time she approached Aamir Khan for an autograph, the actor coldly singed her book and returned it to her without acknowledging a young Rani. The duo, of course eventually went on to star together in films like Ghulam (1998) and Talaash (2012) among others.

Some of us are lucky enough to have come face to face with our favourite celebrities whom we have admired for years. And not just the lay man but celebrities too have their favourites and desire to get an autograph or a picture clicked with them someday. Such was the case with Rani Mukerji who, as a young girl, was a staunch admirer of Aamir Khan. However, her first meet with Aamir didn’t meet the desired end. As per reports, while recalling the time she approached Aamir Khan for an autograph, the actor coldly singed her book and returned it to her without acknowledging a young Rani. The duo, of course eventually went on to star together in films like Ghulam (1998) and Talaash (2012) among others.

On the work front, Rani Mukerji was last seen in ‘Hichki’ which marked her Bollywood comeback post motherhood. The actress played the role of a teacher who suffers from Tourette Syndrome in the Sidharth P Malhotra directorial which hit screens on March 23. During an exclusive interview to Republic, when asked why she chose ‘Hichki’ as her comeback film, Rani had said, "For me ‘Hichki’ is a film that goes beyond just being a film because in an actor’s life, we rarely get such films where we are able to do something much more than entertainment. She went on to say that, "For me ‘Hichki’ is a film which is all about positivity, it is all about a positive message which is going out through the film. It’s an inspirational film and it has all the qualities that I look for when I watch a film. With entertainment, I am taking back something that is inspiring to me. As human beings, we are all special in our own ways and I think that is what ‘Hichki’ celebrates.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan will next be seen in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ alongside Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Sheikh. The film is based on Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel 'Confessions of a Thug' and is helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is set to release this Diwali on November 7, 2018.
