The makers of 'Sui Dhaaga: Made in India' have shared a one-minute-long behind the scenes video which shows Anushka Sharma's transformation into a rural woman character Mamta. Anushka also explained how her look was kept simple with minimal makeup including Sindhoor, bangles which gave her the feel of a village woman which was much needed in the film.

''Sui Dhaaga: Made in India'' is a story of Mamta and Mauji who not only promotes rural entrepreneurship but also struggled from being unemployed to being self-employed.

Revealing the secret behind her look in the film Anushka said  "Manish and Sharad were not sure how I would be convinced to look like Mamta. Adi (Aditya Chopra) also was like I don't know if you're going to look like you belong to that world but I never had a doubt, for a second. I never thought I couldn't look the part."

The 'Band Baja Baraat' star further added "This was the easiest getting ready process for me. The sindoor, the nose-pin, the bangles, the black thread that I wear around my neck, these things became like everyday accessories for me and that's what makes me look different than how I look normally."

"From the pallu over my head to the dhaaga that I wear around my neck to the decision to go completely without makeup, all this has created this character. The best part was that it took flat 20 minutes to get into Mamta’s look.”

In the behind-the-scenes video, Anushka further revealed how she used to get ready for the shot in just 20 minutes with the help of Sindhoor, some everyday accessories, the little styling of her baby hair which gave her a realistic look. The actress on Thursday took to Twitter to share the video with her fans.

Earlier the makers shared transformation video of Varun Dhawan to a village man. Varun Dhawan plays Anushka's husband and the character of an aspiring tailor called Mauji in 'Sui Dhaaga: Made in India'. Releasing on September 28 'Sui Dhaaga: Made in India' which promotes 'Made In India' concept, is definitely one of the most anticipated movies of this year.
