Due to the strike from the All Camper Van Owner's Association which has been going on since December 10, the shoot of many Bollywood films is suffering. One of them was the Akshay Kumar starrer 'Kesari'. In fact, if reports are to be believed, then the actor underwent some real hardship on the sets of the film for basic amenities.
Apparently, he could not go to the toilet and had to manage without for a long time. However, he finally went to a nearby studio to relieve as there were no facilities on set. This difficulty has taken place due to the vanity van strike and apparently other big films like 'Shamshera' and 'Marjaavaan' are facing a lot of hardships because of it.
There are also reports doing the rounds that in the interim, Karan Johar who is producing 'Kesari' has spent Rs 2.5 lakh for a makeshift makeup room. It remains to be seen for how long this strike will continue. For those not in the know, the All Camper Van Owner's Association has gone on strike against the Maharashtra government due to the taxation of up to Rs 1.25 lakh per annum on each van. It is believed that in other states it is only Rs 12,000. Since the strike began, over 250 of these vanity vans have been left idle and there seems to be a possibility of shoots stopping for a while before the issue is resolved.
Coming to the film, 'Kesari' is an upcoming period war drama film that also features Parineeti Chopra. Akshay will be essaying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh who takes part in the Battle of Saragarhi. The shooting has been ongoing since January this year and the film all set to release on March 22, 2019. Meanwhile, the actor is basking in the success of his latest release '2.0', which is breaking all kinds of records at the box office. The Shankar directorial will be next released in China in a record number of screens.
