Rajkummar Rao has been making it big in the industry and his filmography along with the box office records is a testimony to the fact. His role in 'Kai Po Che' was well received by the audience and critics also appreciated his performance. And there has been no looking back ever since. Hansal Mehta's 'Citylights' in which he shared space with his girlfriend Patralekhaa established him as a star. 

People started looking forward to his films, then came 'Aligarh', 'Trapped', 'Bareilly Ki Barfi', 'Newton' and now 'Stree' being his latest release. 

The actor, who is currently filming for his next 'Mental Hai Kya' which is a Prakash Kovelamudi directorial will be seen sharing screen space his 'Queen' co-star Kangana Ranaut. While talking about the comfort of working with the actress he said that initially they didn't share a great rapport and over the years of being pally and meeting at award shows and events, the actors now have a certain level of comfort when it comes to working with each other.

The duo has also been cast opposite each other in another film titled 'Imli', it is said to be a love story with a different treatment. Helmed by Anurag Basu they will begin the first shoot schedule in November this year. While 'Mental Hai Kya' is set to hit theatres on February 22, 2019. 

The actress is currently busy with her period drama 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' in which she will be seen essaying the role of the titular character. And just like Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmaavat' this film has also been tackling controversies. From being accused of distorting history to the entire episode of Sonu Sood walking out of the film to Ranaut being vested with a new responsibility. The actress now has the dual role of playing the titular role and that of directing the film, after Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi (also known as Krish), the former director made an exit.

Initially announced as August 3, the film's release date has been pushed to January 25, let's see what's in store for the audience.
