Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor was last seen in the film 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' which underperformed at the box office. He will soon start shooting for the Hindi remake of Sandeep Vanga Reddy’s Telugu film. Shahid has already started prepping for the Hindi remake of 'Arjun Reddy', and the reason behind Shahid suddenly growing his beard was because Vijay Deverakonda had a thick, dense and an unkempt look in the Telugu original.

The 'Haider' actor will be back in action with the filming of the yet untitled film starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. According to reports, the makers of the film will start the shooting of the film on Sunday, October 21, 2018, in Mumbai. As per reports, the shooting is starting with the second half of the story and the opening scene will see Shahid biking with his friends. For another portion of the film, which will also be shot in the city, he will be training in football for some crucial sequences. 

Currently, the makers will shoot only with Shahid Kapoor, Kiara Advani will join the team in November. After the Mumbai schedule, the cast and crew of the film will move to Delhi to shoot for the first half of the film.

Reportedly Kiara, who plays Shahid's love interest Preeti in the film, will join the shoot in November. The Mumbai schedule will wrap up by December end, after which the team will move to Delhi to shoot for the first half of the film by early in January 2019. 

The Telugu film, which starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey and directed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy, who is also directing its Hindi remake, revolves around an alcoholic surgeon dealing with anger management issues. Earlier, Tara Sutaria was to star opposite Shahid in the film but due to date issues, she backed out. Later, Kiara Advani was roped in to play the female lead. 

The film is scheduled to release on June 21, 2019.
